For each capital city that I have visted, I will be providing a must do checklist of things to try, see and do… Enjoy…
The London TOP10 Checklist
10) Ride the Tube. (Take the tube anywhere along the Piccadilly Line). Rated as one of the best train systems in the world.
9) See Piccadilly Circus. (London’s version on Times Square) Big advertising screens with an exciting atmosphere.
8) Bangers and Mash with Old Speckle Hen. (From Anywhere) Cheap, but delicious
7) The Eye of London. (Expensive, but a must) See the sky scape and surroundings of London
6) Visit the Sherlock Holmes pub (From the Hound of the Baskerville) Very traditional. Try the Sherlock Holmes Beer.
5) Pose with the Lions at Trafalgar Square. (Those Lions scared me as a kid)
4) See the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum. (Unlocked the secrets of Ancient Egyptians for the modern world)
3) Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. (Very Cool)
2) Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. (The main sights of London the world over). Hear the bells ring for the abbey and set your watch to the Big Ben time.
1) Tower of London (Look for torture chambers and 500 year old graffiti scratchings) See the Crown Jewels!
